DEXA Body Composition

At NMotion Sports and Performance, we offer body composition scans, also known as dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry, DEXA, or DXA, which utilize a very small dose of ionizing radiation to produce pictures of the inside of the body. We utilize the Lunar iDXA from GE HealthCare to provide our clients with high-quality, research-grade whole-body assessments.

This scan can assess a variety of factors such as bone density, fracture risk and metabolic health. It can also measure lean and fat-tissue mass, including the percentage of fat inside someone’s body. Repeat DXA scans can also be performed to view the change in lean, fat tissue and bone mineral density over time and provide you with a comprehensive look at your body composition.
